Reggae Legend JUNIOR REID and THE REGGAE ANGELS Summer Tour '04 with special guest Andrew & Wadda Blood (Mr. Raid's sons).
Friday, September 3 9:00 PM Yachats Commons Hwy. 101 Yachats, Or.     (See Ticket Info. below.)

World class Reggae returns to Yachats as legendary singer Delroy "Junior" Reid from Jamaica and California's The Reggae Angels take to the stage at the Yachats Commons Friday September 3, for a 9:00PM All Ages Show. The bands are making this their only Oregon Coast stop on their Summer ‘04 U.S. tour..

Junior Reid is currently an awesome force in reggae. He comes from a tough upbringing in West Kingston's notorious Waterhouse district of Jamaica. He recorded his first single at the age of 14, "Know Myself" for the late Hugh Mundell. He also recorded some songs for Sugar Minott including "See How Me Black See How Me Shine" which became an anthem to the ghetto youth. In the late 80's after a successful solo career, Reid was invited to work as the lead singer for the group Black Uhuru, replacing Michael Rose.

With Black Uhuru, Junior Reid gained worldwide recognition and acceptance. He sang lead on two albums, including "Brutal", which were both well received. His song "The Great Train Robbery" and "Fit We Haffe Fit" received major airplay and put Junior firmly on the world Map. After several years with Black Uhuru, Reid was forced to stop working with Black Uhuru due to a visa problem. Joining Reid are his two sons Andrew and Wadda Blood.

The Reggae Angels hail from the San Francisco bay area and have been touring nationally for eight years in the U.S. and Canada. They have also worked in South America. The Reggae Angels are in top musical shape after recently completing a fifty city U.S. tour co-billing with and backing Andrew Tosh.
